About Us

Who We Are:

Founded in July 2010, the East Lake Community Learning Garden is a safe, supportive environment where neighborhood residents will grow organic produce in a small urban farm and participate in interactive workshops while learning from each other and gardening experts.

Khari Diop, our master gardener, comes from the Southeastern Horticultural Society to help our community become healthier, more sustainable, and more independent. (Khari Diop’s Brief Biography goes here.)

What We Do

Join us and experience local, sustainable food production. Learn with us! Grow with us! Share with us! Help us build a stronger community through shared activism and action.

We are an active educational environment, as well as a hub for the community. The Learning Garden is an outdoor classroom for East Lake students from Charles R. Drew Charter & East Lake Elementary Schools
